IFC Shopping Mall
Seoul, South Korea
“International Financial Centre (IFC) Seoul” is fully funded and under construction. Located in the heart of the city’s financial district known as Yeouido, the mixed use project is being developed by AIG Global Real Estate in partnership with the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Scheduled to open late 2011, the US $1.5 billion project spans 5.4 million square feet including a 430,000 square feet shopping center. Taubman will provide develop- ment, leasing and management services to the retail component.
The shopping center will connect directly to the three office towers, the five star Conrad Hotel, 2100 parking spaces and a major regional bus terminal. Importantly, there is also direct connection to the bust- ling Yeouido Subway Station which feeds into the entire Seoul Subway network. More than 24 million people live in greater Seoul and the Yeouido district is home to the National Assembly, the Korean Stock Exchange, and numerous other national and international company headquarters.
