Atlanta, with a population exceeding 4.7 million, is the nation’s seventh fastest-growing market. Two million jobs are expected to be added in the region in the next 25 years, with particularly strong growth and affluence north of the city in Forsyth and Fulton counties, home to 35 percent of the Atlanta MSA’s 2007 residential building permits. Taubman is planning a regional retail/entertainment destination at the heart of this growth corridor, part of a mixed-use project estimated to encompass approximately 1,140,000 square feet of retail, 900,000 square feet of office space, 500 hotel rooms, and 875 residential units, opening in phases from 2011 to 2015.
