CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER: 1-800-314-2363 A: Typically restaurants and salons add a fixed percentage to the authorization amount - usually 20% -- when they swipe you Gift Card for authorization to cover the tip. Depending on the Available Funds, the transaction may be declined because the tip brings the total to an amount greater than the Available Funds on the Gift Card. For your ease of shopping, you can generally ask the merchant to only authorize the amount you have requested.
A: Keep you purchase receipt and Gift Card in case you wish to make a return. Return policies vary by store. If the merchant issues a credit to the Gift Card, these funds may not be available for 3 to 7 business days.
A: Record your Gift Card number in a safe place in case of loss or theft. Your Gift Card can be replaced, free of charge, ONLY if you can provide us with your Gift Card number. If your Gift Card is lost or stolen, contact us immediately at 1-800-314-2363. Funds debited from lost or stolen cards prior to our receipt of your notification cannot be replaced.
A: The original balance should be indicated on the white box located on the back of the Gift Card. At any time, you can confirm the available balance at the customer information desk of any participating Taubman center,or online at www.giftcard.taubman.com or call toll free within the United States at 1-800-314-2363.
A: Ask the cashier if the merchant can accept two forms of payment. If the cashier agrees, first pay the difference with another form of payment accepted by the merchant (many merchants can only accept cash or check as the other form of payment) and then use your Gift Card to pay the remaining balance. Not all merchants offer this as an option.
A: Use your Gift Card at merchants that accept American Express and are located within Taubman managed shopping centers. Participating mall locations are listed on "Exhibit A" of the Terms & Conditions portion of this document.
A: The Gift Card has a "Valid Thru" date on the back of the Gift Card. The Gift Card is not valid after the last day of the month listed. The Available Funds on the Gift Card do not expire, but may be reduced by service fees as described in the Terms and COnditions. If Available Funds remian onthe Gift Card after the "Valid Thru" date, call 1-800-314-2363 for instructions on how to redeem the available funds.
A: The purchase fee is $2.50 per card. A Service Fee of $2.00 a month is deducted from the Available Funds of the Gift Card, subject to applicable law. The Service Fee is waived for the first 12 months (365 days) after purchase.
A: Yes. You may purchase a Gift Card online from any participating Taubman center website. At this time, we are unable to ship Taubman Gift Cards to the states of CT, HI, NH, RI & VT. Based upon legislation in these five states, it is cost prohibitive for American Express to sell our Gift Cards. Gift Cards cannot be purchased online at Stamford Town Center or Westfarms however, you may purchase a Gift Card at the customer service desk in these centers.
