Chris B. Heaphy
General Counsel and Executive Vice President, Legal
As executive vice president, general counsel & secretary, Chris B. Heaphy oversees Taubman’s legal affairs and functions. He assumed these roles with Taubman in 2005. He is a member of the company’s Operating Committee.
Prior to joining Taubman, Chris focused on transaction-oriented real estate and general corporate law as a partner in the real estate departments of Michigan-based law firms Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn, and Miro Weiner & Kramer.
Chris is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and serves on the board of directors for the Michigan Chamber of Commerce. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University’s College of Business and received his law degree from Wayne State University, where he graduated cum laude and was named to the Order of the Coif law school honor society.
